Security Cameras Systems

Installing the cameras, sensors, wires, etc and then connecting it all to a main computer and then set up the wireless alerting devices - notifying you and then the police department? Is this a difficult project but worthwhile since there is no need for a monthly fee that you pay with other security systems?

I have an older security system. Exxis is the brand with telephone connectors and wire not coax. I get audio but no picture from any of the cameras, three set up. I’m guessing it’s a problem with the monitor and would like to know if it is worth repairing or just replacing. Any suggestions on how to find the problem myself? Three cameras with motion detectors run through recorder. Have contacted Exxis and the monitor is obsolete and they, of course, suggest replacing with one of their current models.

(sorry for the caps, I just wanted to catch attention because this is an urgent question).

Recently three apartments in my complex have been broken into, and they were all robbed. So far, nobody has seen the perpetrators.. so they are out free and breaking into homes whenever they catch the opportunity.

I know some people are thinking “Just get a big dog”, but I cannot. I am expecting my first child in May and I cannot afford, spend the time on, or find a dog that will be great with an infant and be low maintenance as well as a great guard dog. I looked, but in the end I was not able to find a dog that would be good for my family.

Anyway,

If anyone knows any great wireless alarm systems that do not cost very much (no more than $80), are VERY loud, and would be great for doors (mostly the front door).. PLEASE let me know.

I need to know what the company name/product name is of a particular security system. I want a security system that no one can see, like one that is really small like a shirt button, or something that can go in a corner that no one will notice. I also want to know if there is a software that hooks up from the camera to the computer/laptop. Please Help!!!!!!! Thank you

Recently I am having my house and car vandalized by people of my friendly neighborhood. I want a security system that has night vision cameras and audio if possible. I want it to download to my laptop, wireless if possible.

So I was wondering if anyone knew any brands or could recommend other things I may need.

Has anyone made a home security system with a wifi signal and computer?

I had the idea to put wifi activated chips on anything in my house and garage that thieves would try to steal. The system would alert me when the security camera (also connected to the wifi) picked up someone around the house it didn’t recognize. Family and neighbors would have a device on them on a key chain or whatever, that would be recognized by the wifi system, thus not setting off the alert, in addition to face recognition software driving the camera.

What are the pros and cons of each?
